Security

To ensure a harmonious sequence of events and a safe one for all participants, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Security checks

The events start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday; on Tuesday already at 9:00 a.m. due to a ritual. Please allow sufficient time to pass through admission and security checks!

The Congress Hall will open at 7:30 a.m. daily. Please arrive at CCH at least an hour prior to starting time and promptly take your seat since H.H. the Dalai Lama usually starts on time.

Due to security reasons, handbags or rucksacks (a.k.a. backpacks) taken into the hall may only have maximum dimensions of 28 x 21 x 15 centimetres (ca. DIN A4). Bigger luggage, umbrellas, and buggies need to be checked in at the cloak room on 1st floor.

Weapons, knives, tools, aerosols, paint, marking pens, flags, scissors and sharp objects are not permitted.

Drinks in plastic bottles of up to 1 litre max are permitted in Hall.

Food is permitted in the Hall, albeit out of consideration to the event, not to be eaten in the Hall. Please eat it outdoors, for example in the park "Planten and Blomen".

Inside the Hall:

Seating is numbered. The stewards will assist in locating reserved seats. Relocating to other seats is not possible.

Please arrive punctually. The doors will be locked shortly after start of sessions.

Please switch off your mobiles in the Hall (or switch to flight mode if you use the FM radio function of your mobile for the translation).

Photos can only be taken from your seat; please avoid using flash and be considerate of those seated next to you by taking only a few photos.

Video and audio recordings are not permitted due to legal rights. Professional recordings will be available outside the hall.

If you wish to distribute a flyer or printed material, please rent a book booth.

Pets are not allowed except for guide dogs for the blind.
