Lodging in Hamburg

The great, international bicycle race “Vattenfall Cyclassics“ will be held in Hamburg on 24 August 2014 wherein many people will be visiting Hamburg. We recommend reserving your lodging as soon as possible since hotels in the city will be more expensive and in demand than compared to other weekends.

As the CCH Congress Centre Hamburg is optimally connected to all transportation, you could also stay in the suburbs. 

There is a private lodging exchange (German: Übernachtungsbörse) for participants of Dalai Lama visit in the Tibetan Centre’s Internet Forum. If you are looking for private lodging, you can peruse the offers - in German - or state your request for lodging by submitting an advertisement in English.

There is a lot of interest for Saturday’s event “Incorporating Human Values“ and many tickets have already been sold. 
The talks on Buddhism from Sunday, 24-08 to Tuesday, 26-08, are now available as day tickets along with the 3-day tickets. Hence, participants have the possibility to experience the Dalai Lama on the basis of an individual day. To see all tickets, visit our Ticket Shop.

We are offering free of charge admission to monks and nuns for the sessions with H.H., the Dalai Lama, from Sun., 24-08 to Tues., 26-08-2014. You simply pay an administrative fee of 40 euros which includes a warm lunch for those days.

German Railways has a special offer on ICE/IC and EC trains for all travellers. The conditions are limited to: From all train stations in Germany, roundtrip is for a fixed price of 99 euros in 2nd class and 159 euros in 1st class (destination train station is Hamburg-Dammtor). This ticket is for a specific route which means you have to make a reservation in advance. Open routing tickets are also available; 139 euros in 2nd class and 199 euros in 1st class.
