How can we live an active and committed life without losing sight of what is essential? The Buddhist mind training offers manifold methods to deal with emotions, which make it possible to remain centred within and act in a beneficial way while living with stress. Geshe Pema Samten will give an introduction to the path of awareness and meditation from his rich experiences and guide through some exercises.Geshe Pema Samten, born 1957 in Tibet, studied for 15 years at the Tibetan university of Sera monastery in Southern India. In 1997 he passed the examination for Lharampa-Gheshe and afterwards studied at Gyudmed Tantra-College for one year. Then he went back to Tibet where he is abbot of his home monastery. At the beginning of 2003 Geshe-la came to Hamburg and since then acts as resident teacher in the Tibetan Centre in Hamburg, where he mainly gives courses and seminars on Buddhist philosophy and meditation practice.
