To practice meditation does not mean to sit in a perfect posture but rather to direct the attention of the mind toward thought, speech and action and to introduce wisdom into daily tasks.
Dr. Kusuma Devendra who has been a meditation teacher in the Singhalese Buddhist tradition of Sri Lanka for decades imparts a practice oriented introduction into Buddhist meditation and also addresses the way of thinking and philosophical content of Theravada Buddhism.
